“ The restaurant is a nice throwback from the past with many pictures and artifacts. The service was friendly and the food is good, BUT more expensive than what a basic burger meal, sandwiches and other meals should cost. They do have good onion rings though. ”
“ the albacore tuna melt is a winner and the cheeseburger is also. it's great to have a choice of side. i chose the battered onion rings but they were kinda dark and greasy. the slow service is a warning when you enter so can't complain lol! lots of cool movie star pics adorn the walls. ”
“ The Mount Whitney Restaurant: A Beacon of Blandness with Stellar Service Tucked beneath the imposing grandeur of Mount Whitney is a culinary oasis of ordinariness: The Mount Whitney Restaurant. Here, the exceptional meets the everyday in a dance of delightful dullness, with a twist - the service is surprisingly splendid. As you step in, the decor strikes you with its dedication to the forgettable. Walls of the most noncommittal beige, adorned with artwork so unassuming, it's as if they're trying to blend into the background. Yet, amidst this sea of sameness, there's an undercurrent of something rare - genuinely great service. I navigated the menu, a tome of the typical, and chose the tuna sandwich. It was the epitome of average: bread that was the archetype of the bakery aisle, tuna that was pleasantly predictable. Yet, each bite was elevated by the attentive and friendly staff, who navigated the room with an efficiency and warmth that felt like a gentle hug from an old friend. Around me, other patrons engaged in their own encounters with the middling menu. Rumors whispered of burgers that were "good" - a daring leap towards the slightly above-average in this temple of the typical. What truly set the Mount Whitney Restaurant apart was the exceptional service. The staff, with their genuine smiles and keen attention to detail, brought a sparkle to the otherwise unremarkable setting. They moved with a grace and efficiency that was neither overbearing nor absent, striking a perfect balance that made the dining experience unexpectedly delightful. In conclusion, The Mount Whitney Restaurant stands as a testament to the power of great service in elevating the everyday. It's a place where the food is comfortably common, but the experience is made memorable by the people who serve it with heart and excellence. Rating: 4/5 stars - For reminding us that great service can make even the most average meal something special. ”
